The CCS Faculty Art Exhibit, a long-standing tradition for Charlottesville City Schools,  is now on display in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Performance Arts Center (MLK-PAC) lobby from January 22, 2018 to March 26, 2018.

The show features drawings, paintings, photographs, sculpture, digital art and mixed-media created by faculty and staff members who work for the nine schools in our division. With more than 20 participants, the exhibit includes works from visual art teachers, school counselors, instructional assistants, administrators, and other support staff.

The faculty exhibit overlaps ArtConnections 2018, the annual division-wide student art show. Together, these exhibits illustrate how the visual arts continue to play an important role in people’s lives beyond the school or classroom.

The show will be open during any public performance including the January 31, 2018 CHS Symphony concert, the CHS Musical Feb 23, 24, and 25, and our ArtConnections Saturday Celebration, March 17, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

If anyone is interested in viewing the exhibit, arrangements can be made by contacting Aaron Eichorst, fine arts coordinator for Charlottesville City Schools, at 434-245-2671.
