  • Concert for Charlottesville features CHS music video

     A music video collaboration produced by Charlottesville High School and Metro Nashville Public Schools  was featured among the long line-up of musical performers at the Dave Matthew’s Band Concert for Charlottesville in September . “To see all of us up on the jumbotron at the Dave Matthews concert was truly a thrill,” said CHS Orchestra Teacher Laura Mulligan Thomas. “I get goose bumps every time I think about it.  It was our students singing and playing and trying to promote a positive message.” The music video features 50 CHS orchestra students and 30 members of the CHS choir, along with Nashville’s Fab ...

    Senior Portraits: Senior make up portraits will be November 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the PAC. Students should check with their English teacher for sitting times and passes. Please bring your address, contact information, and email address for the Life Touch rep to verify. Wear a white undershirt so you can easily change tops for your portraits.   • We Welcome Nashville Students and Staff!

    Charlottesville City Schools will host a special group of visitors from the Metro Nashville Public Schools later this week to collaborate on a joint musical recording of entertainer BeBe Winan’s song “Right Now (We Need One Another).” The Fabulous 5, an ensemble of five Nashville area high school students, recorded a touching music video in response to the recent events in Charlottesville and sent it to the CCS staff.     The first day of school is Wednesday, August 23. Open House Information: The CHS open house is Monday, August 21 from 5-7pm. Virtual education orientation is August 21, beginning at 1pm.   • Welcome to our 9th-grade Black Knights! Link Crew

    9th-Grade Link Crew Orientation

    Ninth-graders: Come meet new classmates, get your schedules, and tour CHS! Date: Monday, 8/14/2017 Time: Orientation begins promptly at 9:05am and will finish at 1:30pm. What: This is a required — but fun — program for all incoming freshmen. Students will receive their schedules, tour the school, and meet with their upperclassmen mentors, Link Crew Leaders. Lunch is provided. Transportation: School buses will be running their regular fall routes to transport students to the building.     Graduation will be Thursday, June 8, and it’ll be here before you know it! It’s time to order your cap and gown.
