This award-winning Rodgers and Hammerstein musical first appeared on Broadway in 1949 and re-emerged in a 2008 Broadway revival.
In an interview with C-VILLE Weekly previewing the play, CHS drama teacher and director David Becker said, “It’s probably one of the most lush, most memorable scores of musical theater written during the golden age…What I was really interested in doing with the show was finding a way to bridge then with now.” For more comments from Becker along with several members of the cast, read the complete C-VILLE Weekly article here.
