Re-Register Now for 2025-26 in School Mint

Re-Registration is Open for 2025-26 School Year

Submit Bus Requests, Address Updates, Annual Permissions, and More

It is now time to re-register your student for the 2025-26 school year. You can update your bus requests, phone numbers, and more to get ready for next year.

The re-registration form is open in SchoolMint for all returning resident students and all approved non-resident students. 

Using your SchoolMint account from last year, please access the program and begin the process by using the following Quick Instructions (or see click-by-click instructions, below). If you have questions or issues in accessing SchoolMint, please contact your school for further assistance.

Quick Instructions

Re-register each of your returning students (once per child) by following these steps.
  1. Log in to SchoolMint and verify you are in the 2025-2026 year (found in the upper right). Note: SchoolMint features a password reset feature if you need it.
  2. Find the appropriate student card, and click the Add Forms button. [Approved non-resident families will click the + button].
  3. The Student Information screen will appear where you will need to confirm basic student information along with your current physical address and district of residence. [Approved non-resident families will not see this step since it was completed in the application process.] Click the Save and Continue button
  4. On the next screen, click the down arrow next to the option of Re-Register at Your Current School, then click the blue, Re-Register button to continue.

Log in and Select Student

  1. Log in to SchoolMint and verify you are in the 2025-2026 year (found in the upper right) Note: SchoolMint has a password reset feature if you need it!
  2. Find the appropriate student card, and click the Add Forms button. [Approved non-resident families will click the + button].

Missing a Student? Here's How to Add Them.

  1. Where it says Add a Student, click the "Get Started" button.
  2. You'll need their ID number. You can find the ID number in several ways (1) in ParentSquare (select student> dashboard> overview) (2) in PowerSchool (select student> Grades/Attendance), or (3) call your school.
  3. Click "Yes - Student is currently attending Charlottesville City Schools."
  4. Enter ID, name, and student birthday.
  5. Continue.

Verify "Student Information" Screen

  1. The Student Information screen will appear where you will need to confirm basic student information along with your current physical address and district of residence. [Approved non-resident students will not see this step since it was completed in the application process.] Click the Save and Continue button.
  2. If you need to add or change the address: begin typing the address and then click on the blue teardrop next to the correct address (as shown below in yellow). Then add any apartment/suite information without a # or the word "apt." Do not use your phone's "auto-completion" tool (as shown below in purple) -- click the blue teardrop.
  3. Verify that all elements of the address are correct, then click Save and Continue.

Select Re-Register at Your Current School

  1. Click “Re-Register at Your Current School”
  2. After the school information appears, click the blue Re-Register button to continue. Note: If you are applying for Out of Zone, simply complete this form as-is (don't try to change the school). After your Out of Zone application process is complete, Cville Schools will adjust the school as needed.
  3. A "Requirements & Policies" pop-up box will appear. Read and check "I agree."
  4. Click Continue.

Complete All Sections of the Re-Registration Form

  1. Click through each section of the Re-Registration form (there are 12 sections).
  2. When finished, be sure to Review and Send your reregistration in order to complete the registration process.
  3. Repeat this process for every returning student in your family.
