Elementary School Zoning Changes Approved

To avoid overcrowding at some schools and underutilization of others, Charlottesville City Schools is updating its elementary attendance zones.

The earliest zone changes begin in August 2027, with full implementation in August 2029. To give impacted families the flexibility to make a plan that suits them, we are allowing families to apply early to attend their new school. The priority deadline for applying to attend the new school this fall is May 8.
