Dear Cville Schools community:

In forums and conversations over the last several weeks, parents, staff, students and community members have raised many important questions about the recent challenges at CHS, including the cancellation of classes, fighting, staff vacancies, and more. Please take a look at our new Frequently Asked Questions page, which we hope answers many of your questions. We plan for this page to be a source for continued updates, including the weekly update of a “discipline dashboard” to track behavioral referrals at the school.

Attend or tune in to the School Board Meeting

In addition, Dr. Gurley will be addressing this matter at tonight’s School Board meeting at 5pm, which you can attend in the CHS Media Center or virtually. Mr. Lamont Trotter, principal of Lugo-McGinness Academy, will also be introducing our new Knight School alternative education program. There will also be presentations about the 2024-25 Program of Studies, 2025 budget development, other fiscal updates, and more.
