Progress on our Modernized Middle School! Entering Phase 2 and Donating Furniture to a Good Home

In the first days of summer, we have officially entered Phase 2 of modernizing Charlottesville Middle School!‼️
  • The new buildings are looking AMAZING and are on schedule to receive staff and students this fall.
  • Work began on modernizing the old buildings as soon as summer started!
  • We partnered with The Reuse Network to find a new home for more than 1,000 desks, bookshelves and chairs. Furniture will go to new homes locally or in-state, or as far away as Honduras, Nigeria, or Sierra Leone.
  • This August, 7th- and 8th-graders will learn in the new facilities at Charlottesville Middle School.
  • In August 2026, renovations will be complete and the school will serve 6th-, 7th-, and 8th-graders. Go Young Knights! 🧡🖤
